On the positive side of not seeing this though I notice Innocent Venus finally is getting some distribution. I am one of the people that thinks Yoshiyuki Tomino is brilliant except maybe for the F91 movie thingy (probably would have been brilliant as a series) and Chars couterattack was only ok. I was really looking forward to seeing this series, I hope it gets licensed sometime for the west as the trailer was great.

I <i>do</i> think that Yoshiyuki Tomino's pretty good; if anything, I think <i>Turn A Gundam</i> is really well made, but I don't think he's deserving all that praise. I'm not a big fan of his, either, and although most of his works are mediocre, IMHO, there are some of his works that make him 'worthy' to be worshipped. It's just a way of life, I guess. You must admit that he has racked the anime world with his inception of mecha anime. I do still think that FLAG deserves raws, at least more than Onegai My Melody. :) I agree. I'm not a big fan of YT - I think that his work is overbaked and that he gets way too much credit for what are, in my opinion, mediocre productions. The original Gundam, while considered a classic, is not that great and relies too much on the superhero-mech idea to survive as a series. The only good productions he's directed so far are the first Zeta Gundam series and Char's Counterattack (Garzey's Wing and Brain Powered were both...mediocre at best). So yeah, people ought to pay a little more attention to the little guy, because chances are he's putting out stuff that's as good as the big one.
